Upon arrival, we were greeted by the charming garden views from the patio of the Annex, setting the tone for a peaceful stay. the apartment itself was cozy and well-equipped, with a hairdryer in the bathroom and a convenient kitchenette featuring a microwave and tea/coffee maker. the separate bedroom was a welcome retreat after a day of exploring the nearby Priory Church of the Holy Trinity. One of the standout features of our stay was the proximity to popular attractions like Bettys Cafe Tea Rooms and the Grand Opera House, all within a leisurely stroll from the Cottage By the Walls. the convenient location also made it easy to pop into the nearby shops and restaurants, with a Tesco just across the street for any essentials. Despite being within walking distance to the city center, the peaceful setting of the Annex provided a much-needed respite from the bustling crowds. the free Wi-Fi in the rooms allowed us to easily plan our adventures, while the cozy sitting area and dining table provided a comfortable space to enjoy a meal or cup of tea. Overall, our stay at the Annex was a delightful experience, offering all the comforts of home while immersing us in the rich history and charm of York. From the welcoming garden views to the thoughtful amenities, this cozy apartment truly exceeded our expectations. A perfect choice for a tranquil and convenient stay in this picturesque city.
